- What is IronGrunt?
- IronGrunt is a worker-owned proof-of-work and discovery platform for skilled trades, starting with AI/data-center, power, cooling, controls, commissioning, and operations. It is not a staffing agency, payroll/EOR provider, or background-check service.
- What is an IronGrunt Passport?
- The Passport is a worker-owned record of your proof of work — jobs completed, credentials, and readiness signals — that travels with you instead of being rebuilt for every contractor. You decide what to share and with whom.
- Is IronGrunt a staffing agency?
- No. IronGrunt is a proof-of-work and discovery platform. We are not a staffing agency, not payroll, and not an employer of record. Contractors remain responsible for hiring, compliance, credential checks, and jobsite supervision.
- Does IronGrunt verify licenses or run background checks?
- Not today. Credentials are worker-provided unless and until they are source-confirmed in a later release. IronGrunt does not perform background checks. Contractors are responsible for verifying licenses, certifications, and eligibility for their own hires.
- Who controls worker contact information?
- The worker does. Contact details are shared only after explicit worker consent. We never scrape contact lists, never expose private credentials publicly, and never run autonomous outreach. See our Privacy commitments.
- What trades is IronGrunt starting with?
- The mission-critical trades behind the AI build-out: power and switchgear, mechanical and cooling, controls/BAS, commissioning, and critical-facilities operations. See Data-Center & Power.
- What is IronGrunt Match?
- Match is our planned, foundation-stage AI matching layer. When it ships, AI will parse contractor needs and rank workers by structured proof of work and readiness. It is not live autonomous hiring today.
- Is AI making hiring decisions?
- No. AI assists — it parses, tags, ranks, and explains — but people hire people. AI never makes a final hiring decision, never silently rejects a worker, and never vouches for a credential.
- Is the worker Passport free?
- Yes. Building your IronGrunt Passport is free for workers.
- Can I build a Passport now?
- Yes — the basic Passport is live. Signed-in workers can create a Passport (trade, region, experience, availability) and publish a shareable public page. You can also join the early list. Proof uploads and credential cards come next; the public page shows only public-safe fields and never your contact information.
